About T.E.A.R.S:
In the summer of 2006 our youth group got a chance to partner with T.E.A.R.S. - True Evangelism Always Requires Sacrefice - and ten students and three adults from our church and youth group went down to their mission in La Vega, Dominican Republic for two weeks. During their time there they worked hard to help build and construct at the school, church, and compound there. The next summer in 2007, a group of twenty-three people went down there - nineteen students and four adults. They also worked at the school, church and compound, but spent more time on outreaches in the barrios (or ghettos) of La Vega, including two vacation bible schools and three rap concerts.
